Easter 2017

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter full of chocolate and surrounded by family and/or friends. I hadn’t planned an Easter Post this year as I had nothing much planned. My expectations included sleeping in far too late for my own good before shuffling through to the couch where I would binge watch Netflix series after Netflix series.

On Easter Day I was in fact nestled in a blanket on a couch binge watching a Netflix series. However, there was a difference. I was on my friend’s couch, rather than my own, and I was surrounded by several people who, most of which, I had just met.

I’m not much of a drinker but I was invited to a housewarming on my weekend off and so I decided to kick my anxiety in the butt and accept the offer. I’m glad I did. I traipsed about the town the day before Easter and had some coffee with my friend Bradley before heading over to the housewarming. I played my first ever game of Cards Against Humanity and just so happened to win. Then the alcohol came out and I saw in Easter by drunkenly singing songs, both old and new, at the top of my lungs for the neighbours to hate me for in the morning. I fell asleep on the couch around 6am and then at 11am we all had some breakfast rolls and watched 13 Reasons Why. I read the book 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher back when I was about 15. It took me less than 24 hours to read and I was engrossed in the book from start to finish so I shall be sure to share my review on the Netflix series in a future post. I received an Easter card from my Gran who resides in Spain but didn’t get much in the way of chocolate…or so I thought.

I visited a friend on the 21st and she surprised me with my only Easter egg this year which was a Lindor one – fabulous choice!

We made a small picnic and walked along a trail we have visited many times over the last ten years of friendship. We then rolled our eggs together before walking back to my second home.
All in all, Easter this year exceeded my expectations by far. Link your Easter posts below – what type of egg did you get?
